Coco July's promotion

Bubble milk tea is a new trend, i work in SS15 and there are like more than 5 bubble milk tea shop in this area. Coco Fresh Tea & Juice is founded in Taiwan now it has i brunch in KL, ss15. I've tried a few times and i quite like the pearls there=)
Every month they will have their monthly promotion. This is the poster for July promotion. The above picture is not mine, i took the photo from their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/cocomalaysia
So i decided to try out their chocolate with coffee Jelly. One thing i love about this drink is, the coffee jelly is different with the one we always have in other bubble milk tea shop. The coffee jelly is one big chunk in the bottom half of the cup. It's texture is soft and yet has a wonderful coffee aroma. The chocolate drink is nothing to great to shout about, but i simply love the coffee jelly. Once you got the drink, just simply give it a good shake to break the jelly into small pieces. If not you could try poking the jelly with your straw. hahhahahamad Oh ya i forgot to tell, Its only Rm4.50, affordable to have a yummy drink for tea. There is no reason not to try=)

i just check their facebook page and there is a new promotion for August! I'll be trying it later.

One fine Sunday @ Palate palette

It was a sunny Sunday morning and I headed to palate palette in kl . Okay this was last a few weeks ago and I was so lazy to write blogs  for quite some. I just got my new toy, Samsung s3 and wanted to try out blogging  with my phone fir the very 1st time. I'm still so new to this phone and there are like a tons if things that I dun really know how to use. I'm so used to use iphone, android is like a whole new level if alienated feeling...lol okay back to the post!

So my friend Sheryn suggested this place.
It was nice and cozy, just perfect for a Sunday brunch. ( okay i have to confess, blogging on the phone is a total no no....hahhaah....)

I just love this colour contrast in the picture. i did not edit the picture, its with the original / normal camera phone. I was trying the camera functions while taking this picture. I compared with my old iphone 4, HTC 1X and Samsung S3. And yes, Samsung has better colour and picture quality. Love it! Okay back to the cafe. Its like those very beachy, comfy, very laid back style of cafe. Very suitable for a late Sunday brunch.

This is the outdoor seating, old table and benches with colourful pillows with a touch of fake grass to make it a garden feeling. all i can say its creativity that makes me love this place so much.

They even decorate the grass walls with little toy soilders where we used to play when we are young. Reminds me of the good old days. =)

There are a lot of paintings painted on the walls plus posters in frames. I can say the place is unique by its own, by the looks of it, it seems like the owner bought pieces of decoration one at a time, and add in random stuff to the shop.
These are some of the indoor designs. Hand painted wall paintings on the wall.... i love it!

A very creative idea to spice up yr menu board on your wall with some mirror and coloured markers!
Some Chinese zodiac ornaments hanging on the wall.

there is also upstairs, which i have yet to venture.... this post is like getting longer and longer, i have yet to introduce about the food=)

Lovely posters with a twist of humour!

Let me introduce. This is Sheryn and Becks. Becks is trying out the shoes that Sheryn gave for her birthday=)

With that smiling face, I think she is satisfied with her shoe!

Start off with a hot Latte, it comes with a small biscotti. (RM8)
I took quite a time to order the food as everything looks so nice. I'm a food lover and i always tempted to wana order everything and try out each and everyone of them. But not for today, as there is only 3 of us here.

We ordered a salad, Its shrimp and avocado salad.(RM18) See the red powder on top, that chilli powder to give it a bit of kick in it! The shrimps are fresh combine with the avocado paste, its simply irresistible.
I ordered Mushroom Cappuccino.(RM10) Its basically a smaller portion of mushroom soup serve in a coffee cup with foam on top. Its nice and creamy but i abit too salty for me.

Yummy mushrooms, its full of mushrooms in the cup.... not like the ones that give you more watery and less mushrooms.

Sheryn ordered Chilli Shrimps Aglio Olio.(RM24) Spicy and with a twist of lemon juice. You even can feel the aroma of the olive oil. Nice! Its too spicy for Sheryn, but just nice for me.
Next is this Chinese Char Mee like spaghetti. It totally looks like a chinese style fried noodle. hahaha.  Becks ordered this Grilled Chicken Aglio Olio. (RM26) There is carrots baby Bak choi and chicken and it really taste Chinese. Want something different with your pasta, this is the one you should try.
This is recommended by Sheryn. Steak and cheese sandwich, (RM18) and my god the portion is so big. I can't finish it all. Nice and juicy steak with the cheese ozzing out. The only thing i don't like, its the mayonnaise. There is way too much mayonnaise, its like eating fat with your steak. Once i scoop out the mayo, then its Nice!

After food its once again Picture time.... This in the interior of the cafe from inside out.
Catching up the good old days=)

Bum shape just the size of a sexy bum! Cute!
Get a free bicycle ride, for more info, please find the waiters to guide you.=)

This is actually the pond from the shop beside. I capture it cause i wan one for my future house!

Do come and try out the food. Its nice and i love the place!

The Yogitree @ The Gardens

I am a fan of desserts, pastries and cream, tea time would be my most favorite meal of the day. But nowadays, people don't only eat cakes and have tea during tea time. People can eat it anytime of the day. Even restaurants are selling their tea time set for the whole day. The other day i saw a deal in Dealmates for a Tea set for 2 at The Yogitree, The Gardens. I've always pass by this Cafe and wanted to try out the food there. This is now my chance to try the food out.

The deal comes with :
  • 1 Pesto Chicken Bruschetta (3 pieces)
  • 1 Grilled Vegetables Caramelized Onion Bruschetta (3 pieces)
  • 2 Raisin Scones
  • 2 Macarons in random flavours
  • A Slice of Cake of your choice
  • 2 Cups of Tea of your choice

All of the above for only RM28 instead of RM58.30 . Looks very convincing to me=)

I made the reservation at 7pm as i wanted to have it as my dinner before i go for movies. When i reach there was only 3 table occupied, maybe because its a weekday. But i like the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The best part it's they promote healthy eating. It can be a salad, a mud cake or sausages, using the right ingredients can make good food too. They always emphasize on back to the basic, using fresh and organic ingredients to cook the meals.

First comes the Raisins Scones with butter and strawberry jam, one peanut butter macaroon and another is blueberry macaroon. The scones and nice with the butter and jam. But the scones are just so so as i've tried much better ones in Empire Shopping Gallery.
Next came the Tea for 2. I've ordered Earl Grey tea come with fresh milk and brown sugar.
Next came the Pesto Chicken Bruschetta and Grilled Vegetables Caramelized Onion Bruschetta. Xiao Lan likes the chicken ones cause she hated the alfalfa sprouts one the vege Bruschettas. lol. I forgot to take the picture of the cake, as we were just too hungry, we gobble it up so fast.
Xiao Lan ordered Aglio Olio Seafood Spaghetti ( RM28). A very big portion of spaghetti with load of prawns, squids and clams. The aroma of the olive oil and chili flakes make it spicy and so flavorful.
I ordered 73°C Poached Salmon (RM28). The poached salmon is cooked just right, still a bit raw right in the middle. Together with dill, lemon zest together with the pesto sour cream, it is simply marvelous. The one thing is, i felt the portion is a bit small.
Me posing after my satisfied meal.

Tian Tian Lai Restaurent @ Bandar Sunway

It has been quite some time that I've ask my good friend, Angie to come out. I call her up and we decided to dine at Tian Tian Lai Seafood Restaurant at Bandar Sunway. It is by far, the most afordable and yummy chu char ( can't really think of a word in English)

Since I'm working in Sunway, so i ask Angie to drop by here and try out the food. After all the jam, and she was lost halfway, finally we arrived at the place.

Its actually located at a Selera Sunway food court. You see how people miss use word "restaurent" which practically mean a more high class, air con environment. But it is actually in a food court. other than the name misunderstanding, the food is still marvelous.

There are 2 parts where you can sit. one is the open air but indoors another one is air con room. We prefer not to sit in the air con room, cause i don't wanna smell like FOOD all over me, after my meal.=)

When i reach there was about 7 plus and it is already quite packed. There are many student dining here as it is just near to Sunway university, Monash and a few more universities. It took a while only the waiter is available to take our order, but we waited patiently as chatted while waiting.
Since there is only 2 of us, we could not order too much food. For me, this is a must order, Marmite chicken. Fried till crisp then covered with sweet sticky Marmite sauce. Yummy to the MAX.
We ordered clay pot tofu, come with a very generous portion with a lot of tofu and other ingredients.
Last, is stir fry veges simple yet very delicious.

After the meal we chit chat like for another hour only we left the place. I've been here a few times and i would recon a few other yummy dishes such as belacan fried chicken, hotplate tofu, steam egg. these are the few that i used to always order.
